Super FUN Blackwood project, incredible sound and playability!
Kentucky straight-grained Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, German spruce top, Brazilian fingerboard, bridge and tuning buttons.
I built this pair of Model R cutaway guitars using my outstanding Kentucky Brazilian Rosewood paired with sets of very old German Spruce tops which already sport a vintage look. These instruments sound incredible and I’m honored to have had the opportunity to make them. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
Model R- I LOVE this guitar, incredible sound and plays like butter!! Super loud and bright but also has a beautiful warmth, very nice!!

Model R with "Special Stash" Brazilian Rosewood cut in late 1800's used in veneer mills in 1920's-30's. German Spruce top.

Model R Brazilian/German This is one of my favorite guitars ever, the clean simple Brazilian and lovely German is what I love!! The sound isinsane, smooth, bold, balanced and easy to play, I wish it were mine!!
